STAP YOUTH MINISTRY
Saint Thomas the Apostle Youth Ministries is your home to find out about all of the programs and events we are hosting for the youth in our community! STAP Youth is involved in the lives of our youth in several ministries that all work closely together.
Life Teen is our high school program that meets Sunday nights after the 5pm Mass to share fellowship and learn about Jesus Christ and His Church. Life Teen also includes Chosen, our confirmation prep program which meets on Tuesday evening. EDGE is our once-a-month meeting for middle-school youth and a great primer for jumping into the Life Teen experience! More Than Words is our social justice ministry which caters to all middle and high-schoolers. MTW meets once a week and covers a social justice topic over the course of a month and then, true to the name, heads out to put what was learned into action somewhere in the community.
Browse through our programs and see what would be a good fit for you and go check out our blog page for all the newest and upcoming events! For any questions contact our Youth Ministry Director, Deacon Ed Sheffer or Associate Youth Minister, Eric Huelsman.
OUR PARISH MISSION
We are committed to lead people to Christ; always remembering at the center of our life is the Word of God and the Eucharist. We strive to be the Body of Christ by intentionally fulfilling our personal call to discipleship, reflecting the love of Christ in the world.
OUR CORE PURPOSE
St. Thomas the Apostle’s youth ministry exists to make Jesus more available, in order that teens, families, and the entire parish community can be drawn more into relationship with Him.
Our 2017-2018 GOAL
Provide opportunities for families to evangelize about their relationship with Christ and explain the Catholic faith and how these help us to become our better self.
“In this world you will have trouble, but take heart! I have overcome the world.”
"If you are what you should be, you will set the whole world ablaze!"
"Our hearts were made for You, O Lord, and they are restless until they rest in you."
"The nation doesn’t simply need what we have. It needs what we are."
